Reviews
Not sure about this place. Waitress told me to pick a seat, I just pick a stool in front of the window, as I didn't see any other table available. Maybe she should mention it was a second room on the second floor with tables you are not able to see from entry. She abandon me, so after 5+plus minutes of waiting, I decide to be proactive and approch to counter to order (venue was bussy. But not enought to abandon a costumer). I seat in front of the window, but sun make it difficult so move to 2nd floor (a sun screen film need to be installed on front window, otherwise, you are loosing that space on mornings). The signature dish was not as amazing as I was expecting. Toaster broke so I receive two slides of sourdough cold with no melted butter (the bread was keep on the fridge). The plate was huge but the presentation really straight foward. Chef, remember! 1/3 of the experience is visual. I was curious about the miso mushrooms, were indeed a nice add. Salt and pepper missing on table. Not sauce offered. Cappucino was good quality, but for the prices I will expect better presentation on the venue and dishes. I miss the little complementary mashmellow on side (in my way in I saw a jar full of them). The only table available in second floor give me a not welcoming view of a empty second kitchen (staff keep that door open, no idea why). If they put money to have a marzocco coffee machine, please, spend time and little bit money to improve the glassware and coffee mug (not nice to go to the best rate caffee place in town and receive a cappu in a woolworths cup). Maybe try with the op-shops, for sure different cool coffee mug will elevate the vibe of the place. In the meanwhile, give some spray paint to the staff to fill that empty hugly door with any crazy colorfull draw. Kuddos to the restroom decor. I will give a second chance.
This Cafe was fantastic. The food is scrumptious and the young lady who served us was very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this place.
The service from the young lady was remarkable, she is definitely in a “flow”(The Psychology of Optimal Experience).
It is our honor to be served by her.
The food is a little too oily, but I still will give this place a five star rating.
Pay her more!!!!!!!!!!!
Food was ok, nothing groundbreaking. Bacon and egg roll was ok, should have asked for the bacon to be cooked a bit more so that's on me, but the double espresso was bitter, which was disappointing as place had great reviews.
Staff super friendly and super young, good vibe although they didn't know what a ristretto was, which I didn't want to be "that Sydney guy", so just got double espresso instead. Which was sadly bitter.
Parking wasn't too much of a pain, there's a few free spots too.
This place would be an average mall cafe in Sydney; Not great, not terrible.
After docking off from Spirit of Tasmania ship our group found this gem in Devenport. Breakfast is good and the coffee is awesome. Will definitely have breakfast here again when we get back to Davenport before leaving Tasmania.
Funky, kitsch, warehousey type environment, friendly service with great coffee and food.
Their big breakfast is quite big and enough for two (we ordered extra sausages for a bigger protein hit)
Tides out on large coffee! Ordered a large flat white with soy milk and got about an inch of foam and only about a small size of actual coffee. I do not recommend ordering a flat white from this place
Stopped in here this morning with friends for breakfast. The food, atmosphere and service did not disappoint. The music playing in the background was also great. I would come back in a heartbeat and would recommend the same to anyone considering stopping by. I would add that one should be mindful of time and the fact that much of the parking nearby is metered.
